Change management in Morocco: adoption comes first

Change management in Morocco: Prosci shows AI projects stall on people, not tech. WePartner launches WeChange to anchor adoption.

· 2 min read

Change management in Morocco is still often treated as a closing task, once the tool has already been delivered. An analysis from Prosci, updated on 30 October 2026, shows why that habit is costly: in AI projects, most reported difficulties are not technical. They are human. At the same time, WePartner is launching WeChange, its dedicated offer for making transformations stick.

What does the Prosci analysis say about AI adoption?

Prosci, a recognised reference in the discipline, reports that 56% to 64% of the implementation challenges it records stem from human factors rather than technology. Insufficient training tops the list of barriers, at 38% of adoption challenges. Two further gaps stand out: only 37% of organisations invest significantly in change management during an AI rollout, and just 35% prepare their managers adequately for their role.

The same material estimates that projects with excellent change management are seven times more likely to meet their objectives. It also stresses that AI skills have a useful life measured in months, which calls for continuous upskilling rather than a one-off session.

What this means for banks, insurers and industrial groups

These findings are not limited to AI. A new core system, an ERP, a reorganisation or a merger all raise the same question: will teams actually change how they work? For a financial institution or an industrial group, the risk is rarely an outright failure. It is partial adoption: features delivered but little used, workarounds, poor data quality.

  • Line managers are the first relay: without them, the leadership message stops at the committee.
  • Training must follow the real work of each population, from the executive team to end users.
  • Adoption must be measured: usage rates, data quality, team satisfaction.

How WeChange approaches change management

WeChange brings together WePartner's change management expertise, built on more than 200 projects and more than 20,000 person-days in the field. The approach rests on four levers: understanding the impact, mobilising and communicating, training and building skills, and anchoring adoption. It starts at project scoping, not after go-live.

In practice, that means an impact analysis by population, a stakeholder map, sponsors and business relays, training paths, hypercare at launch and an adoption dashboard to decide on corrective actions. Skills transfer to your teams is part of every engagement. WeChange works alongside WeDigit for IT projects, WeTransform for reorganisations and post-merger integration, and WeAI for AI literacy.

Where to start

Before your next deployment, one simple question tests your set-up: who has to change what, by when, and how will you know it has happened? If the answer is not expressed as usage indicators, change is not yet being managed. A change-readiness diagnostic and an impact analysis, completed in a few weeks before scoping, lay that foundation.
